Pay your way through college by applying to scholarships

Want to study travel, but you don’t think you can afford it? Apply for this scholarship and follow your dream

If you love traveling and discovering new places, why not make a career out of it? You always seem to know how to put the best vacations together and you’re the to-go person in your family for traveling tips and advice, so using these skills to build a career would certainly make a lot of sense.

But is becoming a travel and hospitality expert really worth it? Below we’ll try to answer this question for you.

The good news is that you can study for a tourism degree, even as you are working another job. How so? You could enroll with a distance learning program. It doesn’t even have to be a bachelor degree. There are many associate degrees online in tourism that take under two-years to complete.

Associate degrees online are cheaper than their bachelor counterparts and will prepare for a career in tourism a lot faster.

But once you are out of college will you be able to find worthy employment opportunities? Of course. Tourism is a worldwide industry and there’s such a wide range of jobs you won’t ever have to choose a particular niche. A tourism distance learning program can open up opportunities to work as a tour manager, tourist guide, travel consultant, event manager, airport staff or holiday representative. And the list goes on and on.

The great thing about these jobs is that they are not the 9 to 5 kind of deal. They involve a great deal of variety, not only in terms of hours you can work, but also of the things to you do.

As we said above, tourism is one of the most dynamic and competitive industries in the present day, so plenty of opportunities are awaiting graduates.

And because it’s such a high-demand specialty, many scholarship providers are looking to provide funding to students who are pursuing a career in tourism and travel. If you don’t believe us, continue reading below.
