The Bill of Rights Institute is offering the Constitutional Academy scholarships program which is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school who are interested in government, civics, journalism, public policy, economics or constitutional principles.

All you need to do to enter the competition is to submit an original essay which offers a pertinent answer to the following question: “To what extent in the US does the government-federal, state and local-have the duty to monitor internet content?” The essay should be between 500 and 800 words.

The first winner will receive $5,000 and a scholarship to the Institute’s Constitutional Academy in Washington, DC. Six runner-up prizes worth $1,250 will also be awarded, alongside eight $500 honorable mentions.

You have until April 15, 2021 to apply, so if you want to make the deadline you should start putting ideas together for your essay now.
