Generous scholarships aren’t so widespread and they require a lot of effort to apply, but in the end it is all worth it

As an intelligent high school student, you’re probably busy preparing yourself for college. You’ve looked into accredited schools online or offline and are now attempting to master standardize tests like SAT and ACT so you can have the best chance at getting a college education online or on-campus.

On top of that, you are also attempting to saving up money to help you pay for college, and learn how to manage your time and your priorities.

Yet, some aspects of college you can’t prepare for. For example, you may have never lived on your own for a long period of time, paid bills and looked out for yourself.  One of the most essential survival skills in college is the ability to save as much money as possible.

College is super expensive and you’ll need all the extra money you can get. Sometimes this means abstaining from going to a club with your friends on Friday night or indulging in a big meal at your favorite restaurant.

But it also means, searching constantly and relentlessly for scholarships for college. Scholarships are free money you don’t need to return upon graduation. Some of them don’t even require you to spend the cash towards your college tuition, so you’ll be able to use it for additional expenses, like paying rent.

College education online students have a bit of an advantage over their traditional counterparts when it comes to saving money. You see those enrolled with accredited schools online can study at home without having to move to another city to attend on-campus classes. This way they can by-pass accommodation and travel expenses.

But that doesn’t mean online student don’t need help paying for college. Of course they do. And the sooner they start searching for funding opportunities the better.

As a noob, it might not be easy to find your way through the large number of scholarships and grants, but to get you started into the right direction, we have an example for you.

It’s offered by the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund and is called the Earl Warren Scholarship. It’s available for law students who have a potential for training as a civil rights and public interest attorneys.

The grant is truly generous, as it’s worth a total of $30,000 for three years. What should you do enter the possession of this scholarship?

Well in order to do so, you will have to submit a completed scholarship application form, as well as a copy of the acceptance letter to your law school and two letters of recommendations.

But wait there’s more, don’t forget to attach your resume, a copy of a transcript from a current college/university, an essay, a personal statement, copy of LSAT score and a copy of your FAFSA form.

You have until May 1, 2021 to submit your application, but as you can see in order to do so you’ll have to gather a lot of documents. So the sooner you start, the better.
